I’m OK, thanks. I never use Tumblr now, I might come back to it though, I’m getting bored of Facebook and Twitter had a lot of abusive people on there (not to me, but I didn’t like seeing it happen to other people). Hmm, not that much new, Skye is 9 months now, keeping us busy and I’m back in college studying accounting. What have you been up to?
I don’t like that there are a lot of nast people who post anonymously. I also don’t like that people who reblog posts amend them slightly, or try to ‘refute’ them, without making it clear that what they’ve posted isn’t the original post.
I came across this passage in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s ‘The Adventure of the Veiled Lodger’. It reminded me of the assisted suicide debate:
“Your life is not your own, keep your hands off it.” said Holmes.
“What use is it to anyone?”
“How can you tell? The example of patient suffering is in itself the most precious of all lessons to an impatient world.” [said Holmes]
and give attention, you peoples from afar.
The LORD called me from the womb,
from the body of my mother he named my name.
He made my mouth like a sharp sword;
in the shadow of his hand he hid me;
he made me a polished arrow;
in his quiver he hid me away.
And he said to me, “You are my servant,
Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”
But I said, “I have labored in vain;
I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity;
yet surely my right is with the LORD,
and my recompense with my God.”
And now the LORD says,
he who formed me from the womb to be his servant,
to bring Jacob back to him;
and that Israel might be gathered to him—
for I am honored in the eyes of the LORD,
and my God has become my strength—
he says:
“It is too light a thing that you should be my servant
to raise up the tribes of Jacob
and to bring back the preserved of Israel;
I will make you as a light for the nations,
that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”
Thus says the LORD,
the Redeemer of Israel and his Holy One,
to one deeply despised, abhorred by the nation,
the servant of rulers:
“Kings shall see and arise;
princes, and they shall prostrate themselves;
because of the LORD, who is faithful,
the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.

Hello again,
The Big Bang was formulated by Georges Lamaitre, a Catholic Priest; so I don’t think Aheism can take any credit for that :) Last I heard, the Catholic Church had no issue with the Theory of Evolution. Don’t take that picture too seriously, it isn’t supposed to be an in depth look at Atheism, it’s just an overview of its general beliefs. Thanks for your question.
Hello,
I wasn’t making fun of atheism. That’s really what atheism is. Thanks for your message.
